Noelle Phares is a watercolor and mixed media artist who brings a fresh perspective into her landscape themes through creative texturing via embroidery, and abstract detail atop realistic subjects. She has been painting all over the American West during the last decade. She holds a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Environmental Science, and currently lives in Denver, CO.
“The Badlands” is a custom framed, limited run, archival-grade print by Colorado-based artist Noelle Phares that is signed and titled. The Badlands depicts Dinosaur Provincial Park near Alberta, Canada. This region is characterized by its striking badland topography – “badlands” being dry terrains where softer sedimentary rocks and clay-rich soils have been extensively eroded by wind and water. Dinosaur Provincial Park is famous for hosting one of the richest dinosaur fossil troves in the world.
The original was painted with acrylic, pencil & gouache on canvas (pictured in last listing image).
